Welcome to The Amphibious Warfare blog, the place for you who can't decide whether you prefer mud to salty seas or vice versa. Here you'll find books, films, model kits and a few other things that are related to the world of amphibious warfare, many times from a modellers point of view. Do not hesitate to comment or give me a hint if you miss something here. Please do not expect this blog to get updated every day.

What's in the Box? Trumpeter LCM 3, 1/144

Trumpeter's little LCM 3 in 1/144 is a very nice model. It's quite simple but eye catching and it will surely make some friends of yours raise an eyebrow if finding it in your glass cabinet. You only need a sharp knife, some fine sanding paper, a bit of thin glue and perhaps a bit of filler to complete it in a couple of days. Another day of painting and weathering it and you are done here. Neither painting instruction nor decals are explained and you need to do a bit of research if you want to know what you are doing in these aspects. The decals are ready for three different individual boats but as the numbers are complete you may finish it as virtually any LCM in the inventory.
