Welcome to The Amphibious Warfare blog, the place for you who can't decide whether you prefer mud to salty seas or vice versa. Here you'll find books, films, model kits and a few other things that are related to the world of amphibious warfare, many times from a modellers point of view. Do not hesitate to comment or give me a hint if you miss something here. Please do not expect this blog to get updated every day.

A Magazine; Classic Military Vehicle, June 2012

The current issue of Classic Military Vehicle does not urge me as an amph head to buy it, quite the opposite as the main feature is about the recreation of a  LRDG Ford F 30, fake desert environ photos and all. Cool and all as this pink thing might be, it's a bit too far from amphibious warfare for this blog.

But, once you open it up the first spread is of a magnificent LCT (A)-4 at the War & Peace show. The show will be held this year on 18-22 July, more info can be found at the show's webpage. The shot of the LVT just makes me want to build one of Dragon's little ones.

A great introduction to the LVTP-5 is the four page article also in this issue. I have an AFV Club -5 in the stash...

Well, you never know when to find somehing amphibious, do you?
