A film; The Longest Day

 The Longest Day, 1962

The script was based on Cornelius Ryan's book reusing the title The longest day. One could as well have called the film The longest film as it is a staggering 179 minutes long. The film starring many of the times most famous actors like Sean Connery, John Wayne and Robert Mitchum. This is a fine compilation of the main actions of the first 24 hours of the invasion of main land Europe on  June 6 1944.
