Welcome to The Amphibious Warfare blog, the place for you who can't decide whether you prefer mud to salty seas or vice versa. Here you'll find books, films, model kits and a few other things that are related to the world of amphibious warfare, many times from a modellers point of view. What's in the Box? Schwimmwagen Tamiya, 1/48

Like all Tamiya's models in 1/48 the box top vehicle is portrayed in a realistic setting.

You get 35 pieces of sand coloured plastic, no figures. I think the wheels might have too round a shoulder, check your references on this. This is almost as detailed as the bigger sibling in 1/35 from Tamiya. You get a separate hood for the rear mounted engine but there is nothing to show if you keep it open. How about nicking this part from Bandai's model in same scale?

Clear glass and decals in a separate bag.

Still have this to build, might even do it in three colour camou for the sake of the challenge in this scale.
